ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of da Vinci Xi surgical system assisted laparoscopic exocytosis for hepatic echinococcosis.Methods:The retrospective and descriptive study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 7 patients who underwent da Vinci Xi surgical system assisted laparoscopic exocytosis for hepatic echinococcosis in Xinjiang Uiger Municipal People′s Hospital from October 2019 to July 2021 were collected. There were 3 males and 4 females, aged (43±12)years. Observation indicators: (1) surgical situations; (2) complications; (3) follow-up. Mea-surement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean±SD, and measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M(range). Count data were described as absolute numbers. Results:(1) Surgical situations. All 7 patients underwent da Vinci Xi surgical system assisted laparoscopic exocytosis for hepatic echinococcosis successfully, without conversion to laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery. None of the 7 patients underwent intraoperative blood transfusion and the operation time, volume of intraoperative blood loss, time to postoperative first and flatus, time to postoperative initial liquid food intake, time to postoperative abdominal drainage tube removal, time to postoperative urethral catheter removal, duration of postoperative hospital stay of 7 patients was (225±45)minutes, 100(range, 50-200)mL, (1.9±0.7)days, (4.2±1.2)days, (7±4)days, (2.9±0.8)days, (7±4)days, respectively. (2) Complications. None of the 7 patients had postoperative complications such as bile leakage, abdominal hemorrhage, incision infection, hydatid cavity infection, secondary operation, intestinal obstruction, pulmonary infection and deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs. (3) Follow-up. All 7 patients were followed up for 7 (range, 3-12) months. None of the 7 patients had recurrence of hepatic echinococcosis or peritoneal implantation and incision implantation, and all patients survived during follow-up.Conclusion:da Vinci Xi surgical system assisted laparoscopic exocytosis for hepatic echinococcosis is safe and feasible.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of lncRNA SBF2-AS1 on the proliferation and invasion of hepatoma cells by regulating the miR-372-3p/CDK6 pathway. Methods Bel7402 and SK-hep1 cells were selected as research objects. The expression levels of SBF2-AS1, miR-372-3p, and CDK6 were up- or down-regulated according to different experimental stages, while the expression levels of miR-372-3p and CDK6 in cells were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot. Dual luciferase reporter assay verified the targeting relationships between SBF2-AS1 and miR-372-3p as well as miR-372-3p and CDK6, respectively. CCK-8, colony formation assay, Transwell, cell cycle assay, and flow cytometry were used to analyze cell proliferation, colony formation, migration/invasion ability, cell cycle activity, and apoptosis. Results SBF2-AS1 was highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma cells (P<0.05). SBF2-AS1 knockdown resulted in decreased proliferation and invasion of Bel7402 and SK-hep1 cells (P<0.05). After miR-372-3p knockdown, the proliferation capacity and invasion number of Bel7402 cells were significantly increased. However, the above results were reversed after SBF2-AS1 knockdown (P<0.05). In addition, miR-372-3p targeted CDK6 and inhibited its expression, although over-expressing SFB2-AS1 could reverse the above results (P<0.05). Over-expressing CDK6 could reverse the inhibition of over-expressing miR-372-3p on the proliferation and invasion of Bel7402 cells. Conclusion LncRNA SBF2-AS1 can positively regulate the expression of CDK6 through miR-372-3p. It can also influence the distribution of cell cycle and affect the proliferation and invasion abilities of hepatocellular carcinoma cells.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the association between hepatic echinococcus granulosus infection and necrosis with gene polymorphism of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and to identify the related factors at the gene level.Methods:A total of 106 patients with hepatic echinococcosis who underwent surgical treatment in the department of hepatobiliary surgery, People′s Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2018 to December 2020 were selected. Patients with necrosis caused by hepatic echinococcus granulosus infection were selected as the observation group, and patients without necrosis caused by hepatic echinococcus granulosus infection were selected as the control group, with 53 cases in each group. The serum levels of IL-10 and TNF-α were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The polymorphisms of IL-10 (-592, -1082) and TNF-α (rsl800630) were detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The levels of IL-10 and TNF-α and their gene polymorphisms were analyzed.Results:The levels of serum IL-10 and TNF-α in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05); There was significant difference in genotype and allele frequency of IL-10 (-592, -1082) and TNF-α (rsl800630) (all P<0.05). The serum IL-10 level of CC genotype patients with IL-10 gene -592C/A locus in the observation group was higher than that of CA+ AA genotype patients, with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05). The serum IL-10 level in patients with TT genotype at -1082T>A of IL-10 gene in the observation group was higher than that in patients with TA+ AA genotype, with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05). The serum TNF-α level in patients with CC genotype at rsl800630C/A locus of TNF-α gene in the observation group was higher than that in patients with CA+ AA genotype, with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05). Conclusions:The changes of IL-10 (-592, -1082) and TNF-α (rsl800630) gene polymorphisms may be associated with hepatic echinococcus granulosus infection and necrosis.

Although it can incrOasO thO incidOncO of radiation pnOumonitis and Osophagitis, thO patiOnts arO wOll tolOratOd and thO quality of lifO is improvOd gradually at thO Ond of thO trOatmOnt. It is worthy of clinical promotion.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To explore the genetic basis for a Chinese pedigree affected with congenital hypofibrinogenamia.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Peripheral blood samples were collected from 9 members from the pedigree. Routine coagulation tests including activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT), the prothrombin time (PT) were carried out. The activity of fibrinogen (Fg: C) was measured using Clauss method, and fibrinogen antigen (Fg: Ag) was measured with immunoturbidimetry. All exons and exon-intron boundaries of the fibrinogen Aα, Bβ and γ chain genes were amplified using PCR, which was followed by direct sequencing. Suspected mutation was confirmed by reverse sequencing. The mutant fibrinogen was analyzed with Swiss-PdbViewer.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The proband showed prolonged APTT, PT and TT. Her functional fibrinogen (Fg: C) and antigen fibrinogen (Fg: Ag) levels were reduced to 0.69 g/L and 0.72 g/L, respectively. Her mother and grandmother also had a low levels of fibrinogen, which were 0.99 g/L and 0.83 g/L for Fg: C, 1.02 g/L and 0.87 g/L for Fg: Ag, respectively. The results of other members from the pedigree were all within the normal range. Genetic analysis reveled a heterozygous G>T mutation at nucleotide 7590 in exon 8 of γ gene in the proband, which was predicted to be a novel Ser313Ile mutation. The mutation was also found in her mother and grandmother. Model analysis showed that the Ser313Ile mutation disturbed the hydrogen bonds between Ser313, Asn319 and Asp320. Moreover, the mutation also altered the mutual electrostatic force and affected the folding and instability of the mutant fibrinogen.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The heterozygous Ser313Ile mutation probably underlies the hypofibrinogenemia in this pedigree.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective: To compare caudal block with intrarectal local anesthesia plus periprostatic nerve block for transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy


Methods: One hundred and ninety patients scheduled for transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy were randomized equally into Group-A who received caudal block [20 ml 1.2% lidocaine] and Group-B who received intrarectal local anesthesia [0.3% oxybuprocaine cream] plus periprostatic nerve block [10 ml 1% lidocaine plus 0.5% ropivacaine] before biopsy. During and after the procedure, the patients rated the level of pain/discomfort at various time points


Complications during the whole study period and the patient overall satisfaction were also evaluated


Results: More pain and discomfort was detected during periprostatic nerve block than during caudal block


Pain and discomfort was significantly lower during prostate biopsy and during the manipulation of the probe in the rectum in Group-A than in Group-B. No significant differences were detected in the pain intensity after biopsy and side effects between the two groups


Conclusions: Caudal block provides better anesthesia than periprostatic nerve block plus intrarectal local anesthesia for TRUS guided prostate biopsy without an increase of side effects

ABSTRACT

To evaluate the efficacy of preemptive intravenous oxycodone in the patients undergoing laparoscopic resection of ovarian tumor. Sixty ASA I or II patients undergoing elective laparoscopic resection of ovarian tumor were randomly allocated to one of two groups: Group O [n=30] received intravenous oxycodone [0.1 mg·kg[-1]] 10 minutes before surgery over 2 minutes, and Group N [n=30] received an equivalent volume of normal saline. All patients received a standardized general anesthesia. MBP and HR at the time of arrival of the operating room [T1], 5 min before pneumoperitoneum [T2], 5 minutes [T3], 10 minutes [T4], and 15 minutes after pneumoperitoneum [T5], and VAS scores at postoperative 2, 4, 8, 12 and 24 hour were recorded. The tramadol consumption and side effects in 24 h after surgery were recorded. VAS pain scores at 2, 4, 8 and 12 hour after operation were significantly lower in Group O [P<0.05]. MBP and HR increased significantly due to pneumoperitoneum at T3, T4 and T5, compared with T1 and T2 within Group N, and were higher at T3, T4 and T5 in Group N than at the same time points in Group O. Tramadol consumption was statistically lower in Group O [P=0.0003]. Preemptive intravenous oxycodone was an efficient and safe method to reduce intraoperative haemodynamic effect and postoperative pain

ABSTRACT

Background and purpose:Gastric cancer is the most common malignant tumor of digestive tract, and the possibility of postoperative recurrence and metastasis is higher. Our previous studies showed that protein tyrosine phosphatase1B (PTP1B) gene is closely correlated with tumor size, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage of gastric cancer. The purpose of the present study was to explore the effect ofPTP1B gene on cell proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cell lines.Methods:Short hairpin RNA (shRNA) sequence targetingPTP1B gene and PTP1B cDNA were transfected into MKN28 and MKN45 cells, respectively. The expression of PTP1B mRNA and its protein in MKN28 and MKN45 cells were detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blot, respectively. The effect of PTP1B on cell proliferation and migration was respectively assessed by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, Transwell migration assay and wound healing assay.Results:Compared with blank and negative controls, the expressions of PTP1B mRNA and protein in MKN28 cells were successfully suppressed after the cells were transfected with shRNA (P<0.05). As CCK-8 test showed, the proliferation of MKN28 cells was successfully restrained at 48, 72 and 96 h after transfected with shRNA compared with blank control and negative control (P<0.05). Transwell and wound healing test were performed after PTP1B expression was interfered by shRNA. The result demonstrated that migration of MKN28 cells was signiifcantly inhibited (P<0.05). On the contrary, the expressions of PTP1B mRNA and protein in MKN45 cells were obviously enhanced after the cells were transfected with PTP1B cDNA. And the proliferation and migration of cells were significantly increased.Conclusion:PTP1B gene is an important enchancer for the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer.

Objective To research the expression of Neuritin in gastric cancer .and the relationship between the expression of Neuritin with the occurrence and development of gastric cancer .Methods Collected 58 surgical specimens of gastric cancer from 2010 to 2013 in the first affiliated hospital of Shihezi University ,immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of Neu-ritin in gastric cancer and normal tissues near the cancer of the stomach .Results Immunohistochemical staining showed that Neu-ritin was moderately or highly expressed in 96 .55% (56/58) of gastric cancer ,and Neuritin was moderately or highly expressed in 94 .83% (55/58) of normal tissues near the cancer .There was no statistically significantly difference between two groups (P>0 .05);Neuritin was highly expressed in 82 .76% (48/58) of gastric cancer ,and Neuritin was highly expressed in 15 .52% (9/58) of normal tissues near the cancer ,differences between the two groups had statistically significantly (P 0 .05) .Conclusion The Neuritin expression level between gastric cancer and normal tissues near the cancer exist differences .There is overexpression of neuritin in gastric cancer .

ABSTRACT

A patient with impaired kidney function after kidney transplantation and received treatment at the First Hospital of Jilin University was retrospective analyzed. The patient was male, 45 years old, and was diagnosed hemolytic uremic syndrome by transplanted kidney biopsy. The patient received cyclosporine A (CsA) as maintenance centered immunosuppression therapy postoperatively. He was admitted because of 1 week acratia followed by 1 day increased serum creatinine level at 1.5 years after transplantation. At 1 day after admission, he was received renal needle biopsy, and underwent 2 days Prednlsolone treatment. After hemolytic-uremic syndrome was diagnosed, CsA was transferred to Tacrolimus (Fk506) with dose of 2 mg/d, and Azathioprine was replaced by mycophenolate, Prednisone was taken orally for 20 mg/d. The function of the transplanted kidney and the change of routine blood tests were observed. After 1 week treatment of the changed Immunosuppression therapy, the function of the transplanted kidney was improved obviously, and the hemoglobin and platelets was decreased during the treatment. The results demonstrated that kidney biopsy is a key method to diagnose hemolytic-uremic syndrome, and adjustment of immunosuppressive agents, replacing CsA with FK506 are effective for postoperative hemolytic-uremic syndrome.

BACKGROUND: Numerous studies have shown that the increase of reproductive activity and self-repair capacity of brain endogenous neural cells might be a valuable method to treat ischemia-hypoxia brain damage. OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of He-Ne laser irradiation on the proliferation and differentiation of endogenous neural stem cells and brain functional reconstruction in newborn rats with hypoxia-ischemia brain damage.METHODS: Newborn rats aged 7 days were prepared for hypoxia-ischemia brain damage models. From the second day of model induction, rats in the laser treatment group were subjected to He-Ne laser irradiation. Acupuncture point included Baihui (DU20) on the median parietal bone, and Dazhui (GV14) between the C7 and T1 and the median back. After the second course, the learning and memory ability of rats were tested by Y-type maze test. Then brain hippocampal sections were made and underwent immunohistochemistry for nestin and microtubule-associated protein-2.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In the laser treatment group, the ability of learning and memory were obviously higher than those in the model group (P < 0.05), however, compared with the sham-operated group, the difference was not obviously (P > 0.05). Compared with the sham-operated group, nestin expression in the dentate gyrus was significantly increased in the model and laser treatment groups (P < 0.05), and the increased range was greater in the laser treatment group compared with the model group (P < 0.05). Microtubule-associated protein-2 expression was widely distributed in the cerebral cortex, and darkly stained brown dendrite presented with radiation-shape. Neurons in the hippocampal pyramid and dentate gyrus granular cell layer arranged regularly. Positively stained dendrite presented branch-shape and distributed in the molecular layer. No significant difference was determined between the sham-operated and laser treatment groups. But the microtubule-associated protein-2 expression was significantly weakened in the model group. He-Ne laser irradiation can promote proliferation of endogenous neural stem cells in neonatal rats with hypoxia-ischemia brain damage, induce its differentiation into neurons, thus, achieves reconstruction of learning and memory functions.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the influence of different delineators and different delineating time on target determination of the whole breast and to explore intrafraction and interaction target displacements of the breast on moderate deep inspiration breathing hold (mDIBH) assisted by active breathing control (ABC) after breast conservative surgery. Methods Twenty patients received primary CT-simulation assisted by ABC to get five sets of CT image on the three breathing condition which included one set from free breath ( FB), two sets from mDIBH and two sets from deep expiration breathing control (DEBH). After radiotherapy with ten to fifteen fractions, the repeat CT-simulation was carried out to get the same five sets of CT image as the primary CT-simulation. The whole breast target were delineated at different time by the same delineator and delineated respectively by five delineators on the first set of CT images got with mDIBH from the primary CT-simulation,and to compare the influence of delineator and delineating time on the whole breast target. The total silver clips in the cavity were marked respectively on the two sets of CT images got with mDIBH from the primary CT-simulation, and to compare the intrafraction displacement of geometric body structured by the total of silver clips. The two ribs near the isocentric plane of the breast target were delineated respectively on two sets of the mDIBH CT image from the primary CT-simulation and on one set of the mDIBH CT image from the repeat CT-simulation, and comparing the movement of the point of interest (POI) of the ribs delineated to get the value of intrafraction and interfraction thoracic expansion. Results There was not statistically significant between the four volumes of whole breast targets delineated by the same delineator at different time, but with statistics significant between the volumes of whole breast target delineated by the different delineators(F = 19.681, P = 0.000). There was not statistically significant between the intrafraction displacements of the POI of the geometric body at each direction, and with no statistically significant between intrafraction displacements of the POI of the ribs delineated on the same mDIBH condition. There was not statistically significant between the interfraction displacements of the POI of the ribs delineated. Conclusions The influence of different delineators on the whole breast target is statistically significant. The difference of displacement of the breast target with the same mDIBH eondition assisted by ABC at the different direction is not statistically significant.

ABSTRACT

Objective,This study was designed to evaluate the predictive value of pre-procedure Cardiac troponin I(cTnI)and CRP levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methotis cTnI and CRP were determined on admission in 335 consecutive patients with ACS who underwent primary PCI.Blood samples were obtained within 6-10 h after onset of symptom.The concentration of cTnI was determined by an automated chemiluminescence immunoassay.CRP was measured by immunoassay assay.According to the admission cTnI(<0.1,0.1-0.5,>0.5μg/L)and CRP(≤3,>3 mg/L)divided into different groups.The pre-procedure cTnI and CRP status associated with 30 days cardiac mortality and major adverse cardiac events(MACE.including cardiac death.non-fatal recurrent MI.heart failure.readmission for any reason)were analyzed.The cardiac mortality at follow.uD period of 2 years were analyzed.Results Muhivariate logistic regression analyses revealed preoperative cTnI predicted 30 days cardiac mortality(OR=3.5,95%CI 2.2-5.3,P<0.01),and recurrent MI rate(OR=1.5,95%CI 1.1-2.6,P<0.05),independent of other known prognostic factors such as age,gender,hypertension,Hypercholestemlemia,diabetes and smoking.The pre-procedure CRP was independently related to 30 days cardiac mortality(OR=1.6,95%CI 1.1-2.3.P<0.05),whereas there was no relationship to the MI rate.In ACS,levels of CBP≤3 mg/L,the three different risk groups (cTnI<0.1,0.1-0.5,>0.5μL)with corresponding 30 days MACE rates of 4.3%,11.7%,18.8%(X~2=4.829,P=0.028),CRP>3 mg/L,the three groups mth corresponding 30 days MACE mtes of 5.5%,13.2%,21.1%(X~2=5.862,P=0.015),respectively.Patients were followed up for 2 years,Kaplan-Meier survival analysis demonstrated a significantly reduced survival at 2 years in patients witll a cTnI >0.5μg/L(80.0%versus 89.1%for a cTnI of 0.1-0.5μg/L and versus 92.2%flor cTnI<0.1μg/L;X~2=7.571,P<0.05 by log-rank).Conclusions The levels of CRP and cTnI in Acs of onset in 6-10 h provide an even better risk stratification after the PCI.and closely correlate with 30 days MACE.Elevated cTnI provides long-term prognostic information regarding cardiac mortality.Therefore.The combination of CRP and cTnI measurement should be taken into consideration for risk stratification to decide about the management strategies in ACS patients.

To enhance the fusion of graft bone in thoracolumbar vertebrae and minimize the postoperative loss of correction, short-segment pedicle screw fixation was reinforced with posterior moselizee bone grafting in vertebrae for spinal fusion in patients with thoracrolumbar vertebrate fractures. Seventy patients with thoracrolumbar vertebrate fractures were treated by short-segment pedicle screw fixation and were randomly divided into two groups. Fractures in group A (n=20) were reinforced with posterior morselized bone grafting in vertebrae for spinal fusion, while patients group B (n=50) did not receive the morselized bone grafting for bone fusion. The two groups were compared in terms of kyphotic deformity, anterior vertebral height, instrument failure and neurological functions after the treatment. Frankel grading system was used for the evaluation of neurological evaluation and Denis scoring scale was employed for pain assessment. The results showed that the kyphosis correction was achieved in both group A and group B (group A: 6.4 degree; group B: 5.4 degree)/ At the end of follow-up, kyphosis correction was maintained in group A but lost in group B (P=0.0001). Postoperatively, greater anterior height was achieved in group A than in group B (P<0.01). During follow-up study, anterior vertebral height was maintained only in Group A (P<0.001). Both group A and group B showed good Denis pain scores (P1 and P2) but group A outdid group B in terms of control of severe and constant pain (P4 and P5). By Frankel criteria, the changes in neurological functions in group A was better than those of group B (P<0.001). It is concluded that reinforcement of short-segment pedicle fixation with morselized bone grafting for the treatment of patients with thoracolumbar vertebrae fracture could achieve and maintain kyphosis correction, and it may also increase and maintain anterior vertebral height. Morselized bone grafting in vertebrae offers immediate spinal stability in patients with thoracolumbar vertebrate fractures, decreases the instrument failure and provides better postoperative pain control than without the morselized bone grafting.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

[Objective]Through the anatomical observation and measurement on middle and distal humerus and radial nerve,To investigete a new radial nerve transfer operation.[Method]By means of anatomical methods,radial nerve's stretching branch,the relationship between radial nerve and deep brachial vessel in 30 upper climbs were observed and measured on 15 adults fixed in 10% formalin.The anatomical structures of humerus of one hundred specimens were also observed.This data were made by designing and performing the radial transfer operation after statistical analyzing.[Result](1)Length of humerus: The left side was (30.60?1.46)cm and the right side(31.37?1.23)cm.The length of sulcus for radial nerve: the left side was(5.65?1.01)cm and the right side(6.57?0.58)cm.The stretch angle of radial nerve: the left was 13.00??1.08?,the right13.86??0.97?.(2)The stretch angle of radial nerve: the radial nerve in the sulcus for radial nerve went from superomidial region to lateral lower region and the angle open to the inner part was formed.The angle is obvious in 29 sides,that was 96.67%,and not obvious only in 1 side,that was 3.33%.(3)The position of the radial nerve superficial and deep branches: The radial nerve in 17 sides branches were above interepicondylar line,which was 76.67%.Below the line were 10 sides,cover 33.33% and on the line 3 sides,cover 10.00%.(4)The curve distance between the exit of radial nerve and the brarnches was(14.26?1.01)cm.(5)The relationship between radial nerve and deep brachial vessel: the radial nerve lies inside of the deep brachial vessel were 12 sides,lies the outside of the deep brachial vessel were 10 sides and cross the deep brachial vessel were 8 sides.[Conclusion]The design of radial nerve transfer operation is reasonable,it conforms to the radial nerve's anatomy and physiology and provides much wider operation space for the performing of all kinds of internal fixation on fractures of middle and distal humerus.It reduces the injury of the radial nerve in the course of the operation and alter the operation while taking the internal fixation substance out.It doesn't increase the difficulty and injury.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To investigate the antimicrobial-resistant profile of aminoglycosides-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from Wenzhou.METHODS Between Jan 2006 and Sep 2007,non-replicate clinical isolates of K.pneumoniae were consecutively collected from inpatients in a teaching hospital in Wenzhou,China.Antibiotic susceptibility test was determined by the disc diffusion method recommended by CLSI.Sixty-four gentamicin-resistant isolates were investigated for the presence of ESBLs by the CLSI-recommended confirmatory tests.RESULTS Of the 64 gentamicin-resistant isolates,the resistant rates to ciprofloxacin,levofloxacin cefoxitin,tetracycline,trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole,ceftazidime and cefotaxime were 7.5%,29.7%,39.1%,85.9%,76.6%,67.2%,and 73.4%,respectively.All isolates were susceptible to imipenem.73.4% of gentamicin-resistant isolates produced ESBLs.CONCLUSIONS Gentamicin-resistant K.pneumoniae is multi-resistant to antibiotics.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To investigate the antimicrobial-resistance of Staphylococcus aureus isolates which obtained from different origins.METHODS The isolates of S.aureus were derived from clinical samples by routine methods.The identification and susceptibility test of the isolates were determined by Automated Microbiology Analyzer.Disk-diffusion test(K-B method) was used for detecting meticillin-resistant S.aureus(MRSA).?2 Test was made to identify the significance of difference.RESULTS A total of 248 S.aureus strains were isolated from blood(25),medical internal catheter(27),pus(89),sputum(93),and urine(14).All isolates of S.aureus were sensitive to nitrofurantoin and vancomycin.The resistant rates of S.aureus isolates from pus to chloramphenicol,gentamicin,oxacillin,penicillin,rifampicin,tetracycline and levofloxacin all significantly lower than those of isolates from sputum(P

ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the effect of anti CD3 monoclonal antibody on preventing acute rejection episodes after renal transplantation.Methods:42 patients undergoing renal transplantation were treated with anti CD3 monoclonal antibody (5 mg) daily for a mean of 10 days (treated group).122 patients who were not treated with anti CD3 monoclonal antibody (control group).Acute rejection episodes,graft loss,death and rate of CMV infection in patients were observed.Results:The treated group had a significantly reduced risk of acute rejection (18 6%),as compared with the control group (28 7%).The rate of graft loss were significantly reduced in the treated group 1 year,2 years,or 3 years after renal transplantation.There were no significant differences in mortality between treated group and control group 1 year,2 years,or 3 years after renal transplantation.The incidence rate of CMV infection were significantly increased in the treated group (33 3%),as compared with the control group (13 9%).The first acute rejection episode was postponed significantly in the treated group.There were more acute rejection episodes that could be reversed by MP in the treated group.Conclusion:Anti CD3 monoclonal antibody significantly reduced the risk of acute rejection and significantly reduced the rate of graft loss.Anti CD3 monoclonal antibody significantly increased the incidence rate of CMV infection,which should be paid attention. ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the efficacy of electrochemotherapy with pingyangmycin (bleomycin A5) for the treatment of human prostate cell line PC 3M in vitro. Methods The prostate cancer cells were treated by pingyangmycin alone, electric pulse alone and by electrochemotherapy, i.e. electric pulses were delivered after pingyangmycin was given. Cytotoxicity was examined by MTT assay and histological examination. Results The maximum nontoxic dose for pingyangmycin was 0.1 ?g/ml; The maximum voltage not showing cytotoxicity was 125 V/mm.The 50% inhibitory concentration was 100 times reduced in electrochemotherapy than pingyangmycin alone. Conclusions The cytotoxicity of pingyangmycin can be enhanced by electric impulses. Pingyangmycin may be a novel drug for electrochemotherapy.
